Weekly Grocery Totals: Staples, CVS, Publix, & Winn Dixie

Yesterday was a busy day, as far as shopping goes. I bought both school supplies & regular groceries. I do not count school supplies in my normal grocery budget. I spent more on my grocery budget than normal but that was because I stocked up on the $1.99lb ground beef at Winn Dixie and also got some chicken, so that adds up quickly, but we have beef for a good while.

We also have a large Needs List, well larger than normal at the moment. During the school year when I have time to stockpile more, next summer, we will have a larger stockpile and I won't have to worry about a Needs List like we have this summer (lesson learned)!

Again not my best savings, by any stretch of the imagination BUT considering all of the Need Items I had I did pretty good, to put in prospective, within the $106.53 OOP I bought:

  • 48 rolls of T.P.

  • 11 lbs of Chicken, approx
  • Lots of Fruit
  • 15.69 lbs of Grd. Beef
  • 2 Gallons of Milk
All those items alone would have cost me over $100 had I not used coupons with savings, so I did good :)

How was your shopping week?
